Yep, they're pressed in. You'll have to bang them out with a lot of muscle. The real trick is to replace your bearings before your seals go bad so it's not such a mess in there. Use heat and penetrating oil (or possibly transmission fluid).

I had a Warrior where the inner race was rusted to the axle. A small press wouldn't budge it. I took it to a shop that had a large press and it came right off.

Heat that damn friggin BS bolt as hot as you can, then turn the frame on its side support the area around the bolt so you dont lose any force in the frame flexing, and whack the living life out of it with a 6lb sledge.

Well thats what I did on the honda last week and it just looked back at me and laughed. It wasnt pretty at all

So then the next attack was with the sawzall. Well seven blades later and one side is cut next to the frame and the other side is about 1/2 way thru. Dont use a cordless unless you have lots of batteries (I dont lol) or you lose time waiting for them to recharge.

I had only dont these a few times and of course mine would have to be the absolute hardest I ever touched, but I was talking with one of my parts guys who does this all the time (dont envy him for that one bit) and he seriously believes in the torche, but only the cutting tip

If I remember I will post some pics of the mess, and thankfully the carrier and bearings are OK and not needing any attention this time.

Good luck.

Are these swingarm pivot bolts hard to remove becuase they developed rust or because they're bent? I replaced one on my last ATV because it was bent (bowed), but I don't remember it giving me too much trouble.

I found the air hammer (and compressor) works great for problems that often take a big hammer to loosen.

I think that some are bent and others rusted, but I am willing to bet the one I am working on now is both

The air hammer can be great, but not many riders have one and the air compressor to run it. I know since my compressor craped out there are lots of tools that could have helped but are useless right now.
