1986 Honda TRX 350 starts and runs good. When slipped into forward or reverse, engine dies. Does'nt do it all the time.

Is the clutch slipping enough while in gear.
If the clutch doesn't slip enough at idle it will stall when put in gear.
Maybe the idle is too high. That will cause same problem.
