2001 Yamaha Kodiak 4x4

I don't know if my four wheel drive is working right? What happens is I tried to get it stuck in the snow to see if it would spin all four tires.The fronts will some times spin both tires and some times wont, some times the front left will spin and some time the front right will spin. is this right or do I have a problem some where? When it is stuck this is what happens.

Welp, just speaking about my model (04 Kodiak) I would say that what you typed is right. Its very rare that ATV's have true DIFF LOCK type 4 wd, I know mine has a button for DIFFLOCK, but even then, its not true in my opinion. I know Polaris does a better job of 4 wd, I can tell you that! I watch a friend tear up the stuff well in his 700 that mine struggles through....(thankgod for winches)
