I have a 1.5 gallon taknk that I use for my garden equipment. I know I added oil to the mix but since the passing of my leaf blower last week, I am questioning how much oil I put in the gas. Now, my question to you is can I add more oil and how much? Can you have too much oil as apposed to too less? If you think I should dump it out and start over, how do I dispose of the old gas?
Thanks for your help, don't want to seize up any more equipment

what are the manufacturer specs for the gas & oil ratio recommendation?
if you add to much oil your mix will not burn right if at all
and yes there is such thing as to little oil
since on a 2 stroke engine the oil mix in the gas
is also used to lubricate the cylinder sleeve from getting scratched
if oil is low scratched will appear heat will increase from to much friction
and will eventual melt the engine down or gear oil will enter the cylinder head
either way forget about the engine kicking to life again

Start from scratch... better to be safe.
Call your local dump, They should be able to take it.. Mine takes used oils, paints, etc...

Or maybe leave it out in a shallow tub to evaporate...

Since we live so close to each other I can bring it to work and dispose of it properly. I would recommend leaving it out to evaporate. Pm me and let me know.
