I recently changed the oil and cleaned the oil filter on my 2002 Yamaha 350 Warrior and the owners manual calls for an oil pressure check after changing the oil.

This is done by slightly loosening the oil galley bolt in the cylinder head and checking for a slight oil seep with the engine running at idle for at least one minute.

I followed these instructions and to tell you the truth I didn't see any noticeable oil coming from this area. Which according to the manual indicates an oil pressure problem. The manual says to check the oil filter, passages and oil pump. What can one do wrong changing the oil to cause this problem?

I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

The manual for this model 2002 Yamaha Warrior on page 8-5 calls for cleaning the oil filter element. At the time I thought it may have a porus metal filter that could be cleaned with solvent. I have to agree with you,
I did change the filter. Thanks for your help. Regards.
