Who did the rebuild? Was the cylinder bored out? Bigger piston? Or rings?
Sometimes it takes a few hrs of careful riding to get the rings seated on a rebuild.

could be several things
fuel oil mix ratio (if its 2 stroke)
or carb tune
could be a bad rebuild to but not necessarily

Yes, This is bad. unless oil or something is left over inside the ex system from the previous failer, I would say you have a problem.

Could be just that the rings arent seated yet,try breaking it in easy this time jeff, not wide open thru the first mud hole you see. Hey maybe the guy who built your motor lined all the ring end gaps up ,gulp :hysterical:

Kevin all I did was pick it up at honda then rode it around my houes because the brakes are tight as HELL and just want to see if they got better with 10 to 15 mins. of riding since you don't like to ride it any more!

Kevin, if there is a problem, I highly doubt it is Jeff's fault. Lighten up on him. He is a good friend and I doubt he would do anything to your quad. If there is a problem, you need to direct your anger at Honda, NOT JEFF! :twocents:
