I have my 02 yamaha warrior on ebay, and I just put in a new battery (the old one was dead). and It won't start. It will turn over, and sometimes it'll run for maybe a full second, but then it does and won't restart. I changed the spark plug, put new 93 octane gas in it, and it still won't run. please help!!

First, check for spark. Second, make sure that it's getting gas.....just because there's gas in the tank doesn't mean that it's getting to the cylinder. Now, if you have both of those things and the quad still won't start, then you have a problem.

I can be contacted at 908-850-1955 for further advise.

hey,

i have a 2001 warrior and i recently ran into the same problem...i have not resolved the problem yet but i know im getting air and fuel which narrows it down to spark...first if you haven't ran the bike in a long time check and clean the carb...you may have old fuel gummed up inside....Otherwise the only other suggestions that people have given me to why mine won't start is the stattor, CDI, cylinode, basically go over your ignition system...i have been researching and apparently warriors have problems with the stattors...so good luck in your search cause im fighting the same battle...
