This is my first year of actually owning a quad. Is there anything I am missing on my list?

Been changing oil and filter about every 10 hours. Changed differential fluid twice. Changed plug about every 30 hours. Lubed cables, adjusted play in calbes, adjusted brakes, cleaned air element a couple of times. Checked fuses. Cleaned out 'muffler' and spark arrestor area.

I have shaft drive and no clutchless shifting. Is there anything I am overlooking that might come back and haunt me in the middle of a trail?

Any suggestions would be welcome. :rider:

Wheel bearings? Tire pressures? Grease steering components? Tighten all nuts and bolts?

Wife didn't want me to get it. If it breaks down, I'm basically going to go deaf from "how much more money are you going to spend or your toys".

Actually, I don't like breaking down. Had a 1966 boat with a 1969 outboard on it and I broke down once in Raritan bay. $250.00 for sea tow. NEVER AGAIN. Have never broken down on anything I own since. It killed me to hand over that kind of money for basically nothing but a slow ride up the river. I should have put the $250.00 and a couple of hours into the outboard instead. Learned my lesson very well that afternoon. Well, enough Grandpa Walton stories. Thanx for the advice on the bearings, steering and I usually go over the nuts and bolts. If anybody has any tips on maintaining shaft drive, let me know. :rider:

PS. GAS????? Thought it sounded too quiet.
