Well, Michael's Blaster had a meltdown so it is time for a new topend. The cylinder and pistons seized momentarily. I looks like it will need a decent bore to an oversize and I need a machine shop for it. Who does everyone use?

Cycle Pro Racing in Hackettstown. John does excellent work at a more that reasonable rate. You don’t even have to drive up there, you can UPS your parts to him then he’ll give you a call when the works done and you can pay him via credit card over the phone. I get all my work done there and I couldn’t be happier.

More importantly you need to find out why it melted down. You dont want to rebuild it and have it happen again! was the fuel mixed right ? Make sure you go thru the carb to be safe as well. Lean = meltdown !!!

The bike was running excellent. Michael was screaming the heck out of it in 3rd gear for about 1/2 mile (should have upshifted) and it locked up momentarily. I also noted that 1 of the reed cage bolts must have vibrated out. That may have created an air leak. The plug was super white and burnt. I am going to do real jetting and plug chops after it is rebuilt to make sure. As well as Loctite the reed cage bolts real well.
Any other tips?

Do away with the oil injection...They seem to go at the worse times.Like right after a rebuild..Also vito's has a big bore for those not much more than a new piston and bore job, might be a good alternitive if the rider of it is used to the power it has now

Oil injection is long gone on the bike. We looked into Big Bore. I am going to discuss options with Cycle Pro tomorrow. Parts for a regular rebuild are just $105 or so. Big bore kits require resleeving. If the cylinder is that shot a big bore will probably be going in!
