Im thrilled to see someone here finally owns an outlaw,I want a full report on how the first sport quad is like with the IRS. How does it handle on tight manuvers, can u wip it around on a dime like most sport quads?
Anyway, if its true pinging/engine type detonation make sure you dont have any water in the fuel.Contaminated fuel will severely lower the octane and give you detonation/pinging/pre-ignition whatever u want to call it. Drain the gas into a clear container and let it sit for a few minutes, water is heavier and you will see it on the bottom. If its contaminated you may want to pull the carb and clean out the bowl.If that doesnt do it I guess you just have to hunt for wiring connections that may have water intrusion.
(make sure your running the right octane rating for your machine, high compression engines require higher octane)
