So I just put in a jet kit for my raptor. At low speeds it putters, but at higher speeds it is fine. I checked if i put the jet kit in right, and I did. I checked the choke to make sure it was working properly and it is. Could someone please give some advice to fix this problem. Oh ya and I tryed to change the jets to make it run a little lener and that didn't help.
thanks,
Kris

I asume you had either put on a aftermarket pipe, and or filter without the lid..what spot did you put the clip on the needle??

I moved th needles up 2 notches and it helped. I can still hear a putter but now I can't feel it while riding.

Isnt idle and low rpm on the pilot jet?. Pull your plug and take a peak, that will give you an idea if your too rich or too lean. maybe go back to the stock clip pos. and make a small change in your jet size. make small changes and test ride till you get it right or you will be bouncing to both sides of the perfect mixure.

yep, pilots control from idle to about 1/4 throttle..his "putter"is what confuses me...Are raptors duel carbs, cuz he said he moved the needles...If so the may need to be sncronized, that will give you a sputter in the lower end..Also if you removed the air box lid,and if you think your lean,a good tip is to put the lid back on to richen it up without pulling the plug and taking a pot shot..or you can pull the choke when its puttering to see if its a lean putter..Get what im saying??
