first off I'm new to the forum so hi everyone, this looks like a pretty informative forum!
pretty new to working on quads but have torn mine down a couple of times recently. It's a 95 polaris trailblazer 250 automatic. my chain came off (and broke) and have replaced it but it smacked my tranny pretty hard and knocked a mounting bolt out of it, I replaced the bolt and have my 10 inches between pulleys like it should have but when the bike gets really hot (half hour of hard riding). the belt ( I think) just suddenly slips and will barely pull the bike. when it cools down it'll run fine again. not sure if I need a new belt, clutch, or tranny. any help tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I WANNA RIDE!!! (for more than a half hour)

Well, I am no mechanic, I just play one on the site.... Seriously, sounds to me like you need a new belt. As the belts gets hot, it expands causing it to slip.

Oh and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!
