I don't know many specifics about Polaris, but what made you suspect the spark plug change was necessary?
Did you visually observe anything wrong with the spark plugs that stopped working? This is important.
Are these the exact spark plugs the ATV calls for? Is it possible you're using a non-resistor plug when the ATV requires a resistor type spark plug?
Are there carbon deposits or dry dust on the ceramic part of the plug that sticks out of the motor? You could have a faulty spark plug cap or a faulty connection between the lead wire and the cap. Many two stroke spark plug caps screw into the end of the wire. When this connection becomes worn you disconnect the wire from the cap, cut off 1/4" of the wire, then screw it back in. I don't know how your wire connects, though.
Try starting the ATV in complete darkness and look for sparks while the engine is cranking. You may find the spark plug wire's insulator is no longer providing insulation.
Good luck.
