Hi - issues abound for me this month eh?

2004 Kodiak. Good battery. Put key in ignition, turn, NOTHING. No noise, no electric start, and worse, no display at all.

So far:

Swapped batteries was first test. Both known good, just in case.
Inspected ignition, but no fuses/electrical system tests done yet except battery.
It rope starts in 2 pulls cold, once it is running, the digital dash displays normally, correct hours, correct mileage, heck, even correct time.

Any ideas?

I too had the same problem........found it to be corrosion between battery wires to battery terminals. Cleaned all contacts and used dielectric grease when I reassembled. Other than that, follow your wires from the battery.........check contacts......clean, and use dielectrice grease on EVERY connection you come across......
You might have to pull starter switch from handlebar......use spray electric cleaner on all internal contacts......
