My Ps2 Headset.......

Just picked up Logitechs headset for my PS2, I hear people, but they cant hear me. Is there a PORT on my PC I need to OPEN????

You have your PS2 online? I was going to see how many people did.....
Is it worth it to go online?

Santa brought me PS2 for xmas....I haven't read the instructions yet. What is involved with going online and playing with others...The idea seems great...does anyone else do it?

Hmmm. I guess yer right Christian.

As for PS2 Online, my only two experiences are with ATV2 (excellent) and Killzone (great game- I cant talk, and you KNOW how much that killz me

)

I found my own answers (TCP 10700 and 10800 and UDP 10700 and 10800) but apparently, it didnt yet resolve my issue.

Was working on my firewall when I decided to pop here.....

Update: The headset was BAD, bad MIC. Returned and got a new one, and voila'...workin like a champ!!

2 - Previous post replace Christian with Todd.

3 - PS2 online... spent ALL day in Flanders er Hackettstown er somewhere up there.... played Killzone, and Need4Speed2 online! AWESOME NFS2! Going to buy it today (that, and dump my PS2 WIRELESS connection...too picky). Gotta run a massively long patch cable instead....

4 - Anyone else playin this NFS2?

5- Online. Killzone averages about 800 to 1000 PLAYERS each time I'm on, and NFS2 had about 650 PLAYERS on yesterday early (no west coast yet) typically that tops 1000 too.
As for Madden and NBA Live, those regularly top 20,000 at any given moment... SOCOM and the other First Person Shooters (FPS) are probably even higher!! SICK HUH?? And live TRASH TALK...imean chat!

EDIT= You obviously need the modem ($29) and broadband (dial up works, but most games do not support it). A network cable - Cat5 twisted-sometimes referred to as Cat6 (aka -nic cable, a patch cable (NOT a USB CABLE!!) And lastly, a router to give you a second port (OR if you dont mind disconnecting the PC when you play

)

Now is it worth it?? Since I've only been online barely a month (by the way- online PS2 is freeee service

) I'd say YES its worth it.

16 player shootfests or 4 player racing, Ya! Its worth it! and I've only played KILLZONE and NFS2!!! Many many gamers exist online (rumor has it Ratchet and Clanks latest is incredible online!)
