1st, dialup, not many games left, but if you must.
2nd - Where are you getting stuck? Connection? DNAS? Actual modem install??

i cant get past the settings part when i get to where i have to test it all in order to save the test fails........ im like wtf ...... there are a few questions i have though like they ask u if u have to dial 1 before the number does that mean it dials 1 then my area code or 1 then the actual number... also i have voicemail but i dont have to turn that off right? i can leave it on and ill just get booted off if a call comes in... grr i dunno man

OK first.
1 and area code is what you need, not an extra 1.

Using the online disk you got, use ALL the defaults (auto) settings.

To disable CALL WAITING, its *70.

Who is your dial up provider (called an ISP)? MSN? AOheLL? Earthlink?

Is the phone line any good? Are you using a known good line... not sure? Go plug in a phone to make sure you get a dial tone.

And last but not least, you ARE plugging the phone line into the right jack right? (I have to ask, sorry)

I'm online in NFSU2 now, so I wont be back at the PC tonite

Hope it helps...

Wireless is picky...but it can work. I ended up running a 100ft nic cable through the garage, and it works like a champ! That wireless setup is probabaly about the same price as the cable.....

(going to look)

$85.00 at Circuit City for game adapter versus

$25.00 for 100ft patch cable (wow- I got ripped myself- I paid $60 barely a year ago)
