I just aquired a yamaha four wheeler and cant find no i.d. plate so i'm not sure what it is so parts are kinda hard to get without it. i also have the problem of when you start it it will run just fine but you go to accelerate and it just dies dose anyone have any ideas on that?? This is a earlier model that has the lever on your left hand side for range and reverse along with a foot operated gear shift. i have had the carb apart and the fast jet was plugged i got everything clean and put it back together and still have the same result.. please help...

Skitch,

Is it possible for you to take a picture of it with a digital camera and upload it here? I'm sure our panel of "experts" could identify it for you in addition to answering your question.

ok guys there is now a picture on my profile of what i am working with..i got in contact with the original owner who told me if i let it run for a good while it wouls accelerate...is there any way to adjust the timing like with honda having it on the camshaft where it can be tuned?? I would like to get it running correctly before i buy new tires for it....i would hate to spend the money for tires than have some other problem more major where i half to haul it an hour and a half to a yamaha dealer to get it fixed.....any advice would greatly be appreciated and thankyou for the advice already given. I have also discovered it is a moto 4 if that would help any in the quest of the help i am in need of..
