 Good thinking on their part and I hope you dont want to get too banged up either
Dont take this wrong but your in a group that gets a lot of pressure from advertizers and even other riders on what parts they should have or buy and too often these are not the best ones for your use or needs.
It seems that many companies have found a soft spot for sales to our younger riders in creating "cool" or "bling" for their products and it only clouds the facts of how well a product performs or how it will actually affect your machines performance as opposed to a fully race prepped one costing thousands of dollars more etc.
There will allways be little things that can add to a quads performance but most are expensive and we need to compare the gains to the cost and always consider that somethings will not have noticable results on mostly stock engines and may even hinder performance.
Just trying to make you think about some things so you dont end up with a part you may be disapointed with, or possibly didnt need.
Trust me I know what it is like to want to have the best or newest parts for your machine and I have a fair amount of $$$ spent on the many aftermarket parts on my machine, but there is point where it just becomes "stupid" and we all can get caught up in the hype.
Two of the items I have an issue with on my quad is an aftermarket carb and full exhaust. I know both can add some additional power, but at what rpm's and cost. To do both it would be around $1,000.00 and how much power per dollar would it give, and the quad allready has a fully functional carb and aftermarket silencer that work pretty well.
Since I have found that the $500.00 full aftermarket exhaust only adds a very slim gain in the areas I am concernd with this mod is doubtfull, but since the carb mod can be adjusted to produce additonal power across the rpm range its looking like a strong possibility.
So we need to evaluate the plus and minus divided by the cost of any potential mods to truely have a better idea of what makes the most sense.
Good luck
