 Good thinking on their part and I hope you dont want to get too banged up either

Dont take this wrong but your in a group that gets a lot of pressure from advertizers and even other riders on what parts they should have or buy and too often these are not the best ones for your use or needs.

It seems that many companies have found a soft spot for sales to our younger riders in creating "cool" or "bling" for their products and it only clouds the facts of how well a product performs or how it will actually affect your machines performance as opposed to a fully race prepped one costing thousands of dollars more etc.

There will allways be little things that can add to a quads performance but most are expensive and we need to compare the gains to the cost and always consider that somethings will not have noticable results on mostly stock engines and may even hinder performance.

Just trying to make you think about some things so you dont end up with a part you may be disapointed with, or possibly didnt need.

Trust me I know what it is like to want to have the best or newest parts for your machine and I have a fair amount of $$$ spent on the many aftermarket parts on my machine, but there is point where it just becomes "stupid" and we all can get caught up in the hype.

Two of the items I have an issue with on my quad is an aftermarket carb and full exhaust. I know both can add some additional power, but at what rpm's and cost. To do both it would be around $1,000.00 and how much power per dollar would it give, and the quad allready has a fully functional carb and aftermarket silencer that work pretty well.

Since I have found that the $500.00 full aftermarket exhaust only adds a very slim gain in the areas I am concernd with this mod is doubtfull, but since the carb mod can be adjusted to produce additonal power across the rpm range its looking like a strong possibility.

So we need to evaluate the plus and minus divided by the cost of any potential mods to truely have a better idea of what makes the most sense.

Good luck

I think you should keep that Warrior nice and quiet. Save your money for a faster ATV and if that one isn't fast enough, then put a pipe on it. If you're going to have a loud pipe, you might as well have a fast ATV. No sense in upsetting your neighbors for nothing.

I dont know if many warrior owners will like that but it does make sense.

The idea of a bore kit will make a big difference but its not the bore that is the problem with making power with that motor but the valves and head design etc. that limit flow and rpm.

I know I am going to be in a similar situation with my EX as I was previous with the Warrior but this is how the mfg's get us to buy new quads etc.

Well I'm not pushing product, but.....I have an FMF full system and WHOA! Big differance. I have done work on warriors. When ever you are thinking exhaust always think full, matched system. Most pipes are tuned as full systems and will give you the most bang for your buck. FMF offers quiet core inserts and different size tips so you can balance your torque.

Your heads are the lungs of your motor. Of course bigger lungs-more air. Lets not mess with the motor! You can pick up close to ten extra horses if you do this.

Full exhaust ( You want that exhaust out as fast as possible, the faster you exhale the faster you inhale )

Take that lid off the air box. Throw it away! ( or toss it in the corner )

Get yourself a K&N filter and outerwear. ( You want to be able to take in plenty of air )

Get yourself a K&N jet kit. If you don't know what you are doing have a professional do it. ( You want to richen your carb to compensate for the extra air and lack of back pressure. )

Run High octane fuel.

Too bad they don't make a power now for it. That alone will give you 5-7 extra horses.

I did these mods to a friends Warrior plus dropped a tooth on the front sprocket and he noticed big time gains throughout the power band. Espesialy on the bottom.

My bike stock is around 48hp. After exhaust, jetting, filter, and powernow. I'm pushing close to 60-65hp if not more. With NO MOTOR WORK!!!

It really bugs me when people go for motor work right off the bat. Your motor already has plenty of potential.

i already have holes in my airbox k&n filter with outerwear and i have dynojet jet kit with a stage to jet in rite now i saw alot of power gains from that from stock but i can sell my quad but if i do i wont have that much more money to spend on a new one thats why im gonna keep mine and just work on it to make it faster cause it will be alot less money

I know alot of Z/KFX people have them and love them. Plus you can get them in colors to match.
