Should be two adjustment points, one at the lever and one on the engine where the cable attaches to it.

It can be little tricky to get it right but keep at it and you should get it fixed up. If you cant take up enough slack from the engine mount end to allow about 1/8" play in the lever you may need a new cable.

As long as the clutch seems to be engaging/disengaging properly it's probably just a cable adjustment. Real easy like 440 said. Try the adjustment at the lever. You do want some freeplay, but not much. (word of caution..... don't ever, ever adjust the throttle cable!! It's supposed to have approx 1/8th of travel. There's a special 'box' on top of the carb you use to adjust idle. Just thought I'd include that since every Blaster owner I know of has done this mistake...me included)

Funny how Hatfields can test our equipment

If you have any real problems getting it set up maybe we could set something up since you seem to be pretty close to me etc.
