Aside from the i-beam front end, they're supposed to be sweet!

I have a Raptor 80 I bought for my son. It has been great so far except for the front suspension. It is an I beam and the ride is a little stiff for kids. Wish it had A arms and softer shocks. There are probably after-market shocks that can help this, but he will probably out grow this bike soon.
The problem I do have is the last time I drove it up into the trailer it was running great, then went out there yesterday to start it and it won't fire up. Cranks over fine with the battery and there is pleanty of gas in the tank, but it feels like the kill switch is off. I will check the plug today to see if it went bad, but it's only a couple of months old and I have been pretty meticulous about the maintenance. The bummer is the nearest dealer for warenty work is a 45min-1hr drive....one way. I will try to fix it myself before I drive 4 hours and spend 2 tanks of gas in my truck.
If anyone has seen anything like this in one of these small bikes and can lend a "pearl of wisdom", it would be greatly appreciated.

Check to see if you're getting spark.
Take the plug out and put the cap on it then ground the threaded part out to the cylinder then try starting it to see if you get any spark.
Make sure you use a thick glove when trying this so you don't get shocked.
It is easier when it is almost dark out so you can see the spark better.

There are a lot of better choices in mini's out there.

That whole idea of even calling the front end on them a suspension is a farce, and if you watch the little ones while riding them you have to wonder if there gonna be able to walk when there old and gray and thats not the only model with issues either.

The ones I hear good things about are LEM, Kesea, and another I cant remember but check around the net for what ones are being used for race machines and what the owners think of them etc cause they need to have suspension and power to be competitive.
