04 Bruin 350 2wd. I noted that for a 350 2wd it simply didnt have any juice. It'll go OK, but no matter how hard you nail the throttle, the tires wouldnt spin where it used to EASY!! Anyway, I washed the 2 bikes again today, but never directly, and mostly with a soapy rag, so I dont THINK anything got wet. I was even being extra careful on Vins bike simply becuase its not mine.

I dried it off, started it, and let it idle so the motor would dry before I took off. It ran for 2 or 3 mins, then I hopped on and took off. Maybe AFTER 5 minutes or so, the bike startin spittin n sputtering and wouldnt go above a mild jog, in nuetral it'd rev a LITTLE better, but, ya know, not right.

I yanked the air filter and noted it was a MESS, worse than mine has EVER been. So I pulled it, cleaned it, dried it and stuck it back in. Ah Success...........SPIT, 2 minutes into THIS ride, same thing. The bike is dry. The plug might be fouled, but it was too hot to pull, so Im letting it cool. Also, no dirt was knocked into carb that I can see, (Its REAL clean in there).

So anyone have any other suggestions. Please note, it wasnt doing this during the last ride.

Yamaha is notorious for the E-brake switch going bad on Warriors, you have an E-brake?? Maybe this could be it?

My wolverine did almost the same thing, so i took it to a mechanic and he told me my carb was filthy and he had to soak the carb in acid overnight because one of the internal ports of the carb was clogged with dirt, therefore robbing the engine of gas and power.

OK. Weird. I just got home from a BBQ and took it out again. Not only is it fine, its FLYYYYING out there. Maybe somethin did get wet and the air filter was the slow go part, not the spit and sputter of earlier. I need to get it out on a longer run, but suffice it to say, it hasnt been this good probably since new. I mean REALLY flyin. Weird huh? It also leads me to believe that the motor , somewhere, even with a light spray, can get wet enough to make the bike act up. So I'll check into that another day.

By the way, I suspected the "fresh" gas, but my bike has the same fill...so...nope.

E brake switch? I'll say no, its a manual lock, squeeze rear brake hard and drop that little clip into place. Thats it. No Park, Just D, N, and R.
