Mark,
I try to do my oil between 15-20 hrs, depending on the riding, sometimes sooner.
have you tried blasting the brakes w/ a hose while spinning the wheel ?you may have some small debris in there.

check your owners manual on oil change intervals....too bad i don't practice what i preach

Change the oil on the recomended times in the manual or run a 100% synthetic plus a good filter and extend those times a lot. Much of the things we have all learned about oils are as accurate as old wives tales but one thing is true and thats if you run oil that has been caused to break down from time, heat, added stresses etc it will eventually cause your engine to break down too.

Since its a stock machine you shouldnt have any problems as long as you dont seriously over do it on missing oil changes.

Now those brakes are a totaly different story.

If there alerting you of a problem thru the noise your hearing you had better take a real close look at whats going on. It wouldnt be any fun to have to lose the use of your quad and hundreds of dollars knowing it could have been avoided just by looking closer.

Jack it up, roll it over, stand it on end or what ever you need to do to be able to remove the front wheels and inspect it up close etc. I am not sure what type of brake system is used on that model but if its a disc it will be real easy to see the problem, and just a little more trouble if its a drum set up. Dont forget to check the brake pad wear since even if you dont use them a lot your still running thru some of the most abrasive stuff around, and yes that mud and dirt so may as well be sure there not just worn out.

Another thing to always keep in mind with utility quads that see a lot of water submersion of the various parts etc is that most seals wear enough to allow small amounts of water to get past them in a very short time of usage. So weather its a bearing, a sealed brake system or something else it can be easily going bad in a short time if submerged in water and mud enough.

If thats the case there are some newer or less known products that can help a whole lot.

Hope that helps and let everyone know what you find.
