So your asking the size of the nut you need to remove from the bottom side of the frame?

Just wasnt sure etc. and if you dont get a reply soon you can always try and see if the size is listed in any of the online parts finders rivayamaha.com parts finder

Riva uses http://www.hlsm.com as their parts finder. If you use HLSM's website, you'll have more choices on which dealer to buy from. Ronnie's does an excellent job of stocking parts and shipping to NJ is cheap. I think their parts finder is the best in the business. You can ask the website to remember what's in your shopping cart of you're not readyt to buy at the moment. I find it convenient to keep a running list of parts I "want". When the day comes that I actually order something, I can recall my "wanted" list and add it to my "necessary" list and put it all on one order.

http://www.MagnoliaTractorInc.com has the best prices on parts. I think they charge discounted shipping rates because the shipped me a 5 pound package from Arkansas using UPS 2-day for $15. Can't beat that!

I have the size now, it's a 30mm hex head that I need. I have two choices. I can go buy a 30mm allen key or find a bolt with a head just big enough to fit in there. Ad a couple of nuts and I should be able to turn it off.

What about going to your local Yamaha dealership and ask them to break the thing loose for you?
They might charge you 5 or 10 dollars which is what you will pay for a huge bolt and the nuts to do it yourself.
Unless you plan on doing this job again.....

I got the steering stem bearing out with a little help from our friends at dirt devil. The tool he makes was a perfect fit. This is the guy who does the powder coating. Excelent job.
