I was thinking my TORS system might be a bit too finicky. If I turn the bars to either side, the engine dies. Just lightly tap the gas (enough to take up slack) it dies. Now for the fun part... Wide open throttle.... it seems to cut out as well. The TORS kit is just under $50, but it takes quite a bit of time to perform the bypass. I was thinking if I unplug it, it might work... Just don't know if I have to jump the wires or not. This thing is really p!$$!ng me off. The quad is a rocket with the 240 kit :rider: (for a Blaster), just can't get it wide open (or turn the handlebars...LOL). Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm just not ready ($$) to buy the 34mm carb yet (without TORS).

I thought of this after you left today ... you need to carefully check all the wiring that runs down the front of the bike ... possibly the ignition feed wire is chaffed, or cracked ... when you turn the bars, it breaks contact ... when the bars are straight, it makes contact ... maybe open up a harness at a time and retape it ... you and I have both seen alot of crazy sh*t in work, similar to this

Ok, after reading the Clymer manual like a priest studies the bible, and talking with Christian (mega-huge-props), I fixed it. It was the TORS (Throttle Override Runs Sh!++y) system. D@mn thing. Nice thought Yamaha had, but the designer needs to be hit in the head with a ball peen hammer.
