White usually means too much air. Should be brown inside. May have run lean on fuel and over heated.

I had an 87 blaster and it fried a few pistons before I realized that the oil injection didnt work anymore. I would make sure before you spend more money.

Take the injector off...They are worthless...Just premix the fuel....32:1....it's very simple, and you'll never have to worry again.

I have a cylinder and hed if you need one...

If your cylinder liner is mirror glazed and it's dusty in there, it sounds like a lubrication problem. It's possible you have oil on the piston crown since poor lubrication doesn't raise combustion temps quite like a lean condition would. A lean fuel condition would have likely done a better job of burning oil off the piston and melted it's exhaust edge or even "holed" the piston crown.

If this engine was very recently rebuilt, then you may have a problem with not enough piston clearance when the cylinder was bored.

Converting to premix could potentially cause your ATV to run slightly leaner because you're now displacing 1/32nd of your fuel with oil. I've only performed one OI-to-Premix converison and in that circumstance I was simultaneously changing to a new carburetor and starting all new on the jetting. I never had "before" premix jets to compare with. I would tend to think you probably don't need to worry much about this since the 1/32nd

im not premixin it, i rather buy a new injector, if i have to pre mix then it becomes a pain in my ass, and i can't roll right up to the gas station where i ride and fill it up.

You should test your oil injectin pump to ensure that's what failed. I';ve done this many times before using a reversable cordless drill to run the pump.
