how did your plugs look??your in specs on the compression, but look forward to a top end next year probably...the smoke, and vibration you were seeing maybe a sign of slightly fouled plug or two....I know mine smokes alot after making a high sppeed run, or reving the heck out of it running up a big hill...
Have you ever changed the reeds?

If all the above looks good, the next step would be a leakdown test..But I dont think youll need to do that...

Not to get off topic, but that sounds very odd unless the after-smoke is oil burning off from inside your exhaust pipe.

Its possible that there is some oil in the exhaust cause if you put a napkin by the end of the exhaust you see oil spots on it.... dont know if that means anything

ok well it took long enough but i finally decided to sit down and work on the bike todayand this is what i found. i decided to start with the carbs being last time i had a cylinder misfire(left side same side as last time) it was the carbs so i took them apart and cleaned them and the left side carb had some red junk in the bottom of the bowl (no clue what it was but i just cleaned it all out) right side was fine put it back together and still had misfire on the left side.swap the plug wires see if it was a bad coil still left side pull the plug clean it still misfire. swap the plugs and i found it now i had a right side misfire.. bought 2 brandy new plugs and now the banshee is running like a champ again....
and its not smoking as much now!!!!!!!!

After you get a few more miles on those spark plugs, and if the problem returns, you might want to inspect and swap the reed valves to see if the problem moves to the right cylinder.
